Have spoke to vet and he said he would want to come out and look however im cant get back up to horses until after work at 4.30. So have given her some antibotics and danilon now as have some left over from other mare. So should i get vet out when i go back up or leave it and see how it does?

If clean and not too deep (difficult to see from pics), not causing obvious discomfort/lamesness and no swelling etc i would leave and see how it does.

From the picture, I wouldn't get the vet to it, but, only you who has seen it the flesh can judge for sure. It looks pretty superficial, is it deep?

Will be too late to stitch it by the time the vets gets there I would think, (if it looks like it needs it) if it isn;t too deep I would keep it clean and see how it goes. Doesn;t look the sort of wound that will get infected.

Thats what i thought its deeper than image shows hard to show on pic. will give her antibotics as my other mare has had infection from cut less than that. See i thought too late to stich up as well but vet said not.
