Further to my last post, anyone in Somerset??? Have to go speak to practice manager/senior partners at my vets on mon after seriously useless vet yesterday eve..I would like a back up vet. I have heard there is a lady near frome area who practices on her own and has her own horses and also an apparently very good one called Owen who again seems to be sole practitioner or small practice covering the BA area Wells/Bruton/Shepton Mallet/Castle Cary area?
very keen to hear who you use and happy to have pm's of who not to use. Can't use the major good one in area as one of their vets had head on with me in the snow while I was stationary & he was on his mobile & he lied to police & insurance and the partners..caused alot of trouble & wrote my car off & I also heard there had been alot of malicious bitching in the area about me after this by people who never met me, to others who knew me very well & set them straight....so feel I cannot work with that vets..the other good practice round here I paid cash to & they couldn't produce a receipt & then tried to take me to court for the bill-was thrown out, but again a principles thing..you have to trust them...my current vets, lets just say I am very happy with all but the one who came out last night and as they cover cattle aswell, I feel a back up would be preferable than risk the one time I need them if the on call vet is the one who came yesterday...
