Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and the area so apologies if I'm in the wrong spot. ;)

We've just moved to the area and after having my boy graded have decided (unfortunately for him maybe) it's time to have him gelded.

Can anyone recommend a kind, good (and reasonabley priced) vet for gelding in the Chelmsford area.

Thanks all.. :D

Both the above are good. I use House and Jackson and in April usually they have a cut price gelding day where you take him in they lop them off and its only about £100. (If straightforward)

I second Rob Appleton he castrates far more than everyone else as he does all the gypsy horses, he does them all standing (including much older cod/welsh d stallions), he is so calm and quiet that he quietens the most unsettled ones.

his cost is lower too as he feels its the responsible thing to do and that as its straight forward surgery it does not warrant high charges
