My boy has been referred to a specialist vet and they think he may have wobblers! Heard of it in horses before but not in dogs, not sure if its the same thing but basically he needs 2 mri scans and an operation on his spine to fix it, alternative is steroids but it will progressively get worse and eventually he'll be paralysed! Cost of treatment, £7000, I would say thank goodness he's insured but insurance company refuse to pre authorise the op saying its standard proceedure to have the recommended treatment then put in a claim! Bit worrying if they don't pay out because I havn't got that sort of money, funnily enough thats why hes insured! Due to have his MRI scan on Monday and in the mean time he can't go off his lead and need to be really careful not to let him fall over, poor lad, even though he looks a little drunk he still couldn't understand why he couldn't go for a run round the field today.
