As title. He is still not right after his antics in the field last Wednesday. No heat, no swelling... nothing. He is not giving me many clues. It is in the same leg where he strained his annular ligament three years ago so my guess is he has done the same - or knocked it. There is a permenant bump on the back of his leg from before and again no heat so I could be wrong ?‍♀️

Been extra worried after losing my other boy two weeks ago, just looking forward to having more answers tomorrow. I haven't box rested him but they have been in a flat field with more grass so there has been no more galloping around. He doesn't like staying in by himself and bucks and throws all sorts of shapes in the stable so I figured keeping him in his routine the lesser of two evils at this point. If box rest is essential after tomorrow, I think I am going to need some sedative.

Positive vibes please ?

Hoping it went OK yesterday, SP.

WELL. I turned him out on Tuesday morning and he was about 90% sound, a lot better than on Monday. So I cancelled the Vet as he seemed to be getting better with more rest. Today he is about 95% sound so I think we are heading in the right direction! ?? My guess is he knocked himself in the field being silly and it's taken him a while to get over it. I am just relieved he is feeling better. He's still on the Danilon at the moment but I may stop it from tomorrow and see what happens then - it didn't seem to be making much difference before, he was lame when he was on the Danilon so we will see. I bandage his legs religiously every night when he comes in and he wears his turnout boots in the field for a bit of protection so will continue as I am and hopefully he will come right. I think he jusy heard the word 'vet' and decided he didn't want to be lame any more...!
