hi guys, i wonder if any of you have had your horses third eye lid taken off as my horse has a small lump in the corner of his eye and the vet said she would operate tomorrow and take it out, i am a bit scared for him so thought i would ask you all if you have had it done and the out come thanks.

I dont know a lot about them, but if its a carcenoma its better to get them out straight away. They can end up loosing an eye.
My horse has/had (nearly gone) a sarcoid near his eye which resembled one, but was deemed ok as its not on the third eyelid. Thats the only experience I have in that area.

We had a mare that had her third eyelid removed because of a lump. This was quite straight forward but she was left with a slightly bloodshot eye which never cleared. I expect your vet will do a biopsy on the lump to see if it is anything sinister. It was'nt cancerous in our mares case.
