Can anyone reccomend me an insurer for a veteran (22)?

He is my daughters pony we have jsut bought him after having him on loan. His previous owners didn't insure him but I would like to for peace of mind incase he was injured etc

Thanks

I use NFU and have found them brilliant (despite the recent posts on here about them being very slow, I have had no problems with my current ongoing claim for my younger horse).

However, although I DO insure my veteran (28), I am beginning to wonder whether it's worth it now - he is insured for accident only, and quite honestly, if anything happens to him that is going to involve expensive treatment such as a GA/scans etc, I am not really sure if I would go ahead with it anyway.

Thanks for that, I know i wondered if it was worth it too, but the quote i have had so far has been quite cheap and I just think it would give me peace of mind, he is my daughters pride and joy bless him!

Hi there, I can recommend South Essex Insurance Brokers.... My veteran was insured with them until she was PTS at 28 after an accident 18 months ago. They always paid out without quibble, in fact I think I claimed more over the years than I ever paid them in premiums!
