Hi, as so many I had a hike in insurance fees this year (been with NFU for 8 years) and phoned them to find out how I can get it cheaper. Now they told me that once my horse is 17 I could get veteran cover, this excluding cover for illness. Is that of any concern/ or good? My girl will be 17 next year and I think she is long off from being too old to ride or too old to acquire any illness (e.g what about arthritis ect coming about?)
In my research I got a quote from PetPlan saying their veteran cover is not starting til age 25 and tempted to think that this sounds more like my idea of coverage.
Also not sure if I could carry on insuring her with NFU normal and not go veteran or will they make it veteran automatically?
and what do other reputable companies do?
THanks
