I have just registered with a new practice, my old one is over 3 hours travel away, so not really feasible for treatment.

As my horse has ongoing problems, can I get the notes, x-rays etc forwarded? Like we do with doctors.

Has anyone done, had experience of this please?
Thanks

Your new vets should be able to approach your old vets (especially it a sitation like this where you have changed due to a relocation) to get the x-rays etc. Remember, you have paid for the x-rays etc even though they are with your vets so you ae entitled to ask for them at any time

x rays are actually the property of the vet I think and do not have to be given to you.
Vets are like Doctors and if you inform them of your new vets they will be more than happy to send the records across. At least all our vets did that with our dog.

hostory transferred no probs....xrays vary from practice to practice, we usually keep all ours unless the vet needs them for a reason and in which case we like them returned
