My old bitch is not well, she went to vets Tues and had anti inflams/ biotics as temp of 44 and coughing and panting. Back again the following morning as still not right, xrays and dioretics as fluid or something round heart and lungs, temp 39. She ate well yesterday but this morning wouldn't eat her tuna.(that I have been hiding the tablets in)
Booked her to go to vets later but since then she has eaten 5 chicken wings minus the bones and her tuna.
She is still panting and very slow moving.
Do I take her back to vets or wait and see?

Sounds like she has heart problems, esp with fluid around lungs etc :( It is a very hot day so she is probably feeling the heat badly, I would be inclined to take her just to be sure

Yep I would take her back to vets. Our old dog has heart failure, he's on medication, he has fluid on his lungs and has been worse in the sun. He loves lying in the sune but we have to keep him n when it gets too hot as he can't cope with the heat.

How did you get on?

Decided after talking to the vet to see how she is tomo, as she ate a can of food at 5pm. She sits under the shrubs in the garden so is in the shade but we don't have her the house during the summer as she is incontinent. She has been standing in the water tub too, its a plasterers bath(new) so cools her paws.
The vet thinks after showing the xrays to a collegue that its an infection, as the other vet didn't seem to concirned re the cloudyness on it? I'm not convinced but will see how she is tomo, thanks for asking :)
