ok im thinking of having a horse vetted, does any one know of any vets local to purston, as my vets is too far away to cover it ??

Churchfields are Barnsley located. They are very good. I have Tom Byrne for my horses and have always found him to be very thorough. He is also vey Irish and can most of the time be difficult to understand!

Also another vote for churchfields. I have always used Phil but I think hes gone part time and is in demand so you may not get him. I always hand pick my vets and if I cant have Phil I ask for Tom, Jenny or Justine.

If you want a vet from Huddersfield I would recommend Mick Hancock from Donaldsons, excellent Vet and service from the Practice.

I've always used Phil Dixon at Churchfields for vettings. Very thorough but very fair - passed my first horse as a general riding horse even though she was slightly unlevel when on a tight circle on hard ground. She was 12 and had pulled her shoe off the day before so he said it wouldn't put im off buying her. But he'd failed an intermediate eventer for the same thing earlier in the day. He also vetted my youngster a year ago.
Always used Donaldsons for routine stuff as they were closer. If you can get Mick he's probably the best down there - not as sure with a few of the others. But I now have my two with Churchfields for everything.
