Hi, can anyone advise me on costs of vaccinations and dental work, also what kind of fees vets charge? I have contacted a local vets for this kind of info but they have not responded yet!

Ok I've dug out some invoices.

Flu and Tet vaccination booster cost £34. On top of that was call-out at £10.46.

(Different vet) A dental rasp was £37.72 plus shared call-out of £5.87, injection fee of £8.74, and sedation of £13.45. Total £65.78. Not all horses need to be sedated for dental work though, I just prefer it as it's less stressful all round and the vet can do a better job without a moving target.

I'm getting hit with some vets bills at the end of the month - hoping the call out fees are as low as the ones you've quoted (vets is just down the road but in town so can't take horse)

Got 3 call outs and a bundle of meds to pay for.

Just had my first one through and was £83 for call out, course of penicillin, bute and an injection (of an anti-inflamm I think can't remember). Now I am waiting for the next one which will be even bigger.
