Vets in Wiltshire

Hopefully will need prospective horse vetted in the next week or so.

Can anyone recommend a decent Vet?

Where abouts in Wiltshire is the horse (big county!!) - if its anywhere near the hampshire or berkshire boarders I can recommend a couple of practices

Endells of Salisbury are excellent and do travel (even for 'regular' clients), we've found Bob Cull does the most rigorous vettings of the lot!

I was also going to recommend Endells. Brilliant vets according to a trusted very horsey friend who lives down there!!

The George Vets is Malmesbury based, or Willesley clinic is about 5 miles outside of malmesbury.

Both of which I have used regularly over the past 6 years and are excellent.

Endells are good if you get the right vet! There are a couple I don't get on with, but hey ho! I don't know where Malmesbury is (shocking!) so I don't know how far it is, but Stable Close in Winchester are good. May be too far for them though..
I found my vet for my vetting on the www.findavet.co.uk (or something) website.

Malmesbury is a long way from Winchester. Malmesbury is between Chippenham and Swindon.

Ah, well, I dropped geography at school! lol! I suggested them as I have Endells (I'm just outside Salisbury) and my YO has Stable Close. Anyway, that find a vet website is good!

I tried the website and it came out with nothing in wiltshire

The vets are already hiding from me

Endells every time - they are fab, as a previous post said Bob Cull is great as is Jill and most of the others for that matter! They're number is 01722 710046, they also have a website if you google it

I am trying to get in touch with as many as I can as quite a few are already booked up for a while

Endells normally have good availability as they have soooo many vets available.

The milage costs for Endells to go to Malmesbury would be pretty high though - it is a long way from there - would be around 50 odd miles. Over an hours journey.

I would have loved to use our family vet but the mileage she would have to cover to get there and back would be silly. Its just finding a decent one -thats available!

Definitely Willesley - very close and have very experienced vets in all fields as its also a referral centre

Me too. They were always really good when I lived down that way.
