Looking to buy a 2yo and insurance co has said it is up to us if we want him vetted.
What would you do for a 2yo, two stage or five stage? Xrays? He is coming from the UK, from a reputable vendor, but is fairly pricey!
They should be able to do the breathing bit as he is used to being worked in a roundpen/lunged.

have you seen the horse youself?

i don't bother to vet anything (only buy youngsters) as can check lameness, respiration etc myself.

really depends what you want to have done as your insurance company aren't insisting on vetting.

If he is costing a fair bit of money why not spend another £200 and have him vetted. You would be foolish not to. It is a relatively small amount of money for a lot of peace of mind. Most people do not posess a stethoscope to check the horses heart and listen to the lungs. Nor the equipment to check it's eyes.
