Well, my little man passed his five stage vetting yesterday, and the vet has signed him off as suitable for breeding

Now I have to decide whether to take him to his grading next month... You might think that it should be an obvious decision, but gradings can be so subjctive to the opinion of whoever is on the panel that day. He has thrown a small splint while practising his loose jumping, and although not lame at all, it is obvious, so will perhaps have bearing, even though in the "rules" it says blemishes are not taken into account.

My vet says I would be stupid if I didn't take him, and is besotted with him. He has already recommended him to other clients. I also had John Rawding look over him, and he said he thought he should "easily grade".

What's worrying me is if he goes and doesn't do well. Anyway, I have waffled enough, here are a few pics of the young man;

He is a stunner!! You should def take him for grading if you are intending to sell? Even if you're keeping him come to think of it. Which society will he be graded with?

The more I see this boy, the more I like him.
You are a fool to not only yourself, but you will be doing him an injustice if you dont get him graded!

No disrespect to anyone that has answered in here but the people reading the post in breeding are more knowlegable about stallions in general and what they should be like.
You will find that quite a few of us that posted in breeding dont venture very far outside that forum.
Go and prove us all wrong i for one would be thrilled for you if he passes but you did ask for honest critiscim and that is what we have tried to give

I haven't read whats in the breeding forum post and, wasn't going to reply to this post at all BUT, I would eave the grading for now and see how he matures.

Its only my opnion but I don't think he is that "special". Sorry.

What unusal markings with his white tail. Not that I'm an expert but he looks lovely to me although he may look a little immature compared to some others? Personally, I like them to mature naturally. I'd take him.
