Well, my little man passed his five stage vetting yesterday, and the vet has signed him off as suitable for breeding
Now I have to decide whether to take him to his grading next month... You might think that it should be an obvious decision, but gradings can be so subjctive to the opinion of whoever is on the panel that day. He has thrown a small splint while practising his loose jumping, and although not lame at all, it is obvious, so will perhaps have bearing, even though in the "rules" it says blemishes are not taken into account.
My vet says I would be stupid if I didn't take him, and is besotted with him. He has already recommended him to other clients. I also had John Rawding look over him, and he said he thought he should "easily grade".
What's worrying me is if he goes and doesn't do well. Anyway, I have waffled enough, here are a few pics of the young man;
