My horse is now sold subject to vetting which is next Friday.

I have just had a quick panic, my horse wears rigid pads on his front feet for thin soles (which the buyers are fully aware of). Will it be ok to present him for the vetting with them on?

Is that a really stupid question? He is sound without them but wears them to protect his sensitive tootsies from the stoney ground here. But I don't want to have them taken off.

He is being vetted at the practice the buyers use and then being delivered straight to them if he passes.

Do they use hoof testers during a vetting?

Any help much appreciated! Thanks

I would ring up my vets and ask if it made any difference.I cant remember having hoof test done but vet did look at hoof and frogs.

Agree with cellie. I think you need to talk to the vets concerned. My horse wears pads so I understand. I think if the buyers are aware you should be fine.
