Hi i have found a youngster that i want to buy and need to get her vetted i know the vetting will be limited as the filly is 2 years old but my present mare who i had vetted went lame a day after so want to make sure i find a really good vet to use for the vetting. Have been suggested to have bloods taken and run for everything and x-rays as well! Cant use my normal vet as its the owners same vet as well. So i need a vet who would do a vetting in the Bristol area.

Thanks

Why are you bothering vetting a 2yr old? Xrays will show very little at this age and the vetting will only be a matter of common sense anyway, if horse is sound on a straight line and eyes, heart ect. You would be better getting it just checked eyes and heart. In my opinion its unfair to subject a horse this age to lunging ect. just for a vetting.

Because shes a hell of a lot of money and already have one horse who is always ill so dont want another one to go wrong and insurance says have to have vetting due to value of filly as does the owner knowing what went wrong with my mare.
