Got too the farm last night to find B in, was informed by a another livery that she had been choking and vet had been called out. I hadn't been told !!!!!!! Apparently the object is still stuck and the vet has been unable to remove it, so she can't eat. Apparently there was foam coming out of her nose and the owner didn't want me getting upset

hope whatever it is clears itself soon. I wouldn't be too pleased with YO not informing me as soon as possible but at least she had the good sense to call the vet. WE had a shetland in the clinic who had a thinly sliced carrot stuck and no one could shift it so in the end he was operated on to get it out. He was very uncomfortable before the op and straight after was calling for his feed! Is the vet coming back to see her and did he tell you to do anything to help her? What did he do, did he tube her or give her a sedative????
Good luck and let us know how she gets on.

Oh no :( So sorry to hear this! I too hope it clears soon! I'll keep everything crossed and sending huge vibes and big hugs for you xx

They tubed her I think but they couldn't shift it. We think it could be carrot, which another livery has been feeding to them, despite me strictly saying B isn't supposed to have them. They can't operate because of her age :-(

43!!!!! Good lord, I can see why she shouldnt have fruit and veg. I had a wee Welshie (Silver) who went hunting (in hand) on the Boxing Day of his 43rd year-he passed away in the August of his 44th year still sound as a bell and full of himself. He was born during the secondworld war and taught many a child and their grandchildren to ride. he was a legend and I still miss him. How is your girl today?

She is fine today, wondering why she hasn't had her feed. She comes out with me in hand and she beats the young horses to the grass in fields. She has taught many a baby manners and given confidence back to lots of people (including myself) who thought that they wouldn't be able to be around horses again. I absolutly love her, she is my baby

Scary!

Glad to hear she's doing better. Really would want a word or two with the irriate who fed her. Drives me nuts, other people feeding horses when they don't have the right to; unless of course the horse is obviously in need of hay.
