So the vet came today and its really bad news. Sadley its not a simple colic case at all but much more serious.
We had to discuss putting her to sleep and are looking at a trip to Bell equine for some tests asap. Bloods are being checked now and she is on emergency watch.
She has an unknown blood virus, extreamly low heartbeat, and the back half of her rectum has died, the muscle has stopped working and she can no longer poop. Her poop has built up inside her and is slowley leaking out into places it shouldn't, she is not absorbing anything from her food at all so is literally starving.
Normally it takes at loeast two sedations to knock her out, today she hit the floor after less than half.
We have another vet on the way for a second opinion and she is on pain killers and something to relax the gut muscles.
Her weight has dropped so much we can see every part of her spine. In a matter of days she has gone from fit healthy showjumper, to this.
I'm seriously in need of some vibes as this girl means the world to me.
