Things arent looking great for our 14yo (ex) working spaniel Bramble

Last night, for the first time in her life EVER she didnt touch her food, doesnt want to come out of the kennel and wont lift her head up to even acknowledge we're there without some real persuasion

last couple of weeks she's been walked on her own as she just cant manage the distance or pace of the other dogs, her back end is very weak and is getting so much worse by the day.

There's something in her eyes thats telling us something ... but what if she's better this time tomorrow, or in a weeks time? Or is it time to say her day is here? She's never seemed (and still doesnt) seem like she is in pain, never yelped and her tail is still going but she's lost that spark...

I'm going straight to see her after work

She needs to see the vet. It may be that she just needs a little help at her age. However, you have to consider that at 14 she has come to the point in her life where she needs you to make the bravest decision for her and be the ebst friend she ever had.
I hope it doesn't come to that though. Huge vibes for you both.

I echo Matilda. Please take her to the vet. we owe it to our best friends to do the best for them.

she seems a little brighter today and has eaten nearly all of her food. Came out of the kennel this morning, tail wagging, so hopefully she was just having a bad day. Will be keeping a close eye on her and if she gets any worse will get the vet out.

Thanks for the vibes
