hi vibes needed for my boy , have posted on hear before re my exracer that suffers with colic , he has had works up done at the beginning of the year as was getting freq and severe colic every couple of weeks/ weight loss ect , nothing major and work up scan scope bloods ect just some changes on his abdomen although vets did warn they cannot see everyhing , cut a long story short he has been dooing really well, and working brill just getting him ready for some low key dressage to keep him occupied , last week suddenly dropped weight/ coliced severe and fitting aslo ( vets feel that this is just pain related ) , i thought i was going to loose him , managed to get him settled and gave him pain relief ect monitored closley over the night , vets reexamined him the next am and took bloods , showed high liver but lab said just post colic probably, we had long discussion again with the vets as i dodnt want to put him through surgery at 18 and hes not insured for colic although vets feel that we may always not get an answer with surgey , we have decided that we are going to carry on and closeley monitor , coliced again this week but only midly , recovered all ok since and been happy and bright inself , i just hope the continues to do well as i think the world of him but breaks my heart to think i am not doing his best for him as surgery not an option , vibes please thanks for listening !!
