Girls said he was wizzy - but just loved to jump. Abby is desperate to do juniors - she has a year a half left - so she is bound to grow out of what we buy - but hopefully not in the next year or so.
The girls, of course, loved him. I do not know enough to have a knowledgable opinion - but I could see that he would jump and could turn very quickly. He seemed to hold his head up quite high and toss it quite a lot - although not like a head shaker - more like - come on get moving - let's jump. He wouldn't be an 'easy' pony but then would an easy pony be a performance pony?
He has done BSJA for the last two seasons and been placed in all but one class.
She was holding on a bit at first. It's a fast pony - and a new one - it took her sometime to get used to the fact that the pony didn't need a lot of guidance.
Not sure what you are looking for so hard to comment.Looks very forward going ,if you are after a fast pony to do well in sj then he may be the one [ if he is also careful] but if you are after an event pony he may be too fizzy for the dressage. I agree she will out grow him but she is light so pony won't mind, and she is a nice quiet rider and will be able to sit nice and still on him. He looks fun
She is 5 3/4 - but I think she has probably finished growing - and she is quite slight. She is looking for something for the next year or so.
It is quite difficult - if she wants to do juniors she will need a pony. Ponies are small. But I don't think she looks too big and she is certainly slight enough for it.
She wants to do some BSJA juniors before she has to compete at seniors.
Lovely pony, clearly knows his job and wants to get going - as he was in a small school that may have made things seem worse. New horse + new buttons to find + not a lot of time to do it before goind round a corner etc etc. Is he strong? Didn't look to be really fighting so maybe a 'nearly' outgrown rider who can keep legs on will be perfect....?
How much has he won? make sure you are happy with the level you will have to jump.
Of course check out he is safe in company out on a ride an good on the road etc
AmyMay - he is in Gloucester - we are in Manchester - it was a six/seven hour round trip. This is why we took a lot of video and photos to give us chance to have a think.

I like him, aggree she will gow out of him fairly quickly, but as you have already mention she will get a year or 2 with him. He does look wizzy, but she looks like she manages himwell for her first time on him
I think hes lovely pony anyway and I didnt know what you planned on doing, But he sounds like the right pony and the girls loved him. Your daughter will be fine even if she grows a bit taller shes tiny anyway.
don't forget to look at his printout on the BSJA. i found when buying ponies it is good to see what they have been jumping and if there was any breaks etc. How old is he and does he have a Life height certificate. what height is he in the pasport
wow I love this pony! Light on its feet and v. athletic, keen to do the job, looks balanced..lots of potential there!
Your daughter 'gels' with it really well too I think...

I think he looks very nice - nippy - but it looks like your daughter can control him, which is the main thing! She looks a little tall on him but definitely not too heavy so would be OK for the time being. I think they did well as we have to remember this was the first time she rode him and don't know each other.
The record looks good, and it hasn't won too much money. Although at £75 notional its not long before it will be out of BN.
Looks quite speedy, thats my only reservation. When she jumps the small upright toards the camera it looks to me like she is struggling to keep it steady. It really comes down to how well your daughter can ride - i would suggest putting some time aside to go back with your instructor. I know its a long way, but in the long run it could be well worth it.
Alot of ponies on the circut are forward goin, and it seems to have a nice jump on it and is willing....which advert was this? Im confused now!! (i dread to think how your feeling!!)
He looks like a nice pony, your daughter seems to get along well with him too
She does look a bit big for him (look who's talking
), and I still think she'd be better off to get a small horse for juniors. I would've loved to have stayed in ponies but I know that if I did I would have to sell on the pony quite soon afterwards.
