This is my new boy, as you can tell by the video, I am truly smitten :o He really is like a dream come true, a fairytale horse in every sense of the word. I have never met a creature so kind and loving, yet noble and valiant.

I had took a bit of a confidence bash over the past year, to the point of not looking forward to ride, but now with Nero, its impossible to keep me away! He has brought back that beautiful love of horses that I am sure we all feel.

We will work together over the winter, to become connected in our aids, and hopefully begin some dressage and showing next year.

Thank you! He is such a dude, I just must try to stop hugging him so much... he does give me that... " oh must I" look.

His aids are so new to me though, and I'm really looking forward to learning them properly. For example, a squeeze of your bum cheeks means stop, a squeeze of your thighs means slow down. I have never before been able to completely drop the inside rein and bend only from the leg, its just bliss, but makes me feel like an complete noob! (been riding 20 years!)

He is still as lovely, and currently for sale and looking for a great home.
I miss him an awful lot but we just couldn't click. I wanted to ponce about in the arena, and he wanted to do so much more. He is doing super well just now on sales livery, getting to do loads of hacking and exploring the world, it took me a long time to realise I just wasn't the right one for him.

I have literally went from white to black! :o

That's a shame, but these things happen. A good friend has just sold a cracking cob but he just wasn't the one for her. Good luck to you and for him. :) x

Thank you! I am really enjoying the time we spend together, an he seems to happy and settled in his new home. So fingers crossed it is all good!

Awww, that is so kind! He really knows he is handsome, mention the "H" word and he does the "Friesian proud pose!" But it doesn't make him any less cute!

I think I was oggling him on a website just the other week....Scottish Friesians or something like that??
 
Is he from Meal Rigg Stud? i'm sure they use to have a young stallion called Nero out of Wessell really gorgeous fresians I looked at a few of their cross breeds a few years ago

I dont quite know, although I guess Nero is probably a popular name for Friesians!

Thanks! lol the YO was telling me that there were a few people commenting on him when they came to the yard! I am sure Nero was loving every second....

He's beautiful. My Tess (Sec D) fell totally and utterly in love with a Friesian out on our hack on Saturday. He trotted passed us as we ambling along and she just completely lost it, she couldn't contain her excitement, she literally chased him down the lane! She went for about 10 minutes trotting sideways and on the spot, frothing at the mouth and ended up dipping in sweat! She didn't calm down until we were several lanes away in a different direction. She's 20 years old bless her :o

awww thats such a cute story! Nero certainly has a few of the mares smitten with him, in fact a few are positively in love! hehe!
