As I was asked yesterday here is a little clip of my very clever 3 year old filly popping her cross pole twice. This is the first time she has jumped with a rider on her back. She was loose schooled once as a yearling and once as a 2year old. Her whole attitude is AMAZING.

Having a lot of family around the world, there are some random video's on there so please ignore. I haven't edited any of the clips and I am VERY amateur at taking them. If you do chose to watch the other clips, there could be swearing as some of them involve a lot of booze.....

Do you not think it's perhaps a little early and rushed?..
Nope. Approached from trot in steady rythm, fence nothing more than elevated canter stride. Horse looked relaxed and focussed, surface looked fine and only popped it twice.
Really cant see that putting any physical of mental stress on the horse.

PS, I will take that one. ;)

I have just seen you're only about an hour away! I will deliver shortly ;)

I didn't mean the jump I meant the whole training process.
But that's just opinion like I said :)

Best of luck with her! Lovely looking horse!

Ah OK, I misunderstood your comment. :o
I can see where you are comming from and would agree in some cases. Really depends on horse and just what fences were being loose schooled over and how many. From the vid I would guess they would have been very low and just a few so didn't see it as a problem really. JMHO

Unfortunately being a "racing" person I cannot help with a WoW. I can maybe stick WoW in felt letters over one of my exercise saddles?? The GP on in the video is my GP from when I was 15! Very comfortable but certainly not WoW!! I am looking at a close contact Bates or similar to buy. I suppose having ridden in exercise saddles for so long, I like to feel close.

I will bring her after 7pm as I can stop at the pub on the way home!
