Would you in all honesty advertise a horse for sale that couldn't canter a circle on the lunge without either falling over, going disunited or bunny hopping ?

We have been to see three which did each of the above. The poor horse that fell over is still for sale despite me telling the seller that it was very lame. The owner said its okay on a straight line !

There should be a way of alerting other potential buyers.

Its more common to go and see a lame one than a sound one in my experience, the owners are either oblivious or dont care, when you find a horse that is sound and you actually want to buy it the vet will usually find something wrong with it.
.

Grim, isn't it? The best you can hope for is that some even bigger muppets than the sellers buy it and ask less of it, the lame one/ones that is. i wouldn't sell one like that but i have gone on four hour journeys to view three legged horses. You do wish there was something you could do to help stop countless others going through the same BS and petrol, but there isn't. :(

You have my sympathy and I hope you find what you are looking for soon.

Its not for me, I already have two field ornaments. One with PSD ( hence my hind leg obsession ) and one oldie.

The buyer is looking at the lower end of the market which makes it worse. They should still be sound though.
