Yay or Nay?
Any of your experiences greatly appreciated. And also explanation of LOU % very greatfuly received!!
I'm trying to decide whether to insure my new horse for LOU. He is 5 year old with clean 5* vetting certificate as of yesterday.
I am only thinking of this route as my last horse has been retired for 4 years with navicular and i have only now been able to afford a new horse.
I don't know if i'd be better of by having a bog standard insurance with a £5000 vet fees and by putting by some money away each month in case of a disaster which would render him incapable of doing what i brought him for (RC activities going on to BE) He is not an 'expensive' horse, but its not the type of money i could come up with over a few months!
....although if this happens again i think i would just give up!
