Hello everyone,

Just going to try out a new feed combo for my horses this winter, as need them to keep a decent amount of weight and condition. 2/3 are hunters, the other is my old ponio, who is easy peezy to feed (ie a glutton).

Went to feed merchants and was recommended to try Baileys No1 in addition to my conditioning cubes and chaff. Also told to try Saracen Equi-jewel instead of giving them soya and linseed oil seperately.

Anyone use it? What are your views.....?

Many thanks!

I used no 1 for the first time this year, my mare dropped a bit of weight after having her first foal and as I was showing them I needed to pick her up quick.

I only needed the 1 sack and it certainly did the job.

The only thing I would watch with feeding this is that it isn't a balanced feed so you will need to feed something else along with it, it may be worth giving the feed company a call to check on amounts for your needs.
