I got a Harbridge for Baron and having used it a few times to ride in and once for lungeing I am really impressed.

Baron works in a natural outline all the time but can sometimes be a little inconsistent and bobs his head in trot at times and tilts his nose to the left in canter. Also I find it hard to encourage him to work really long and low, he can work low but not as low as me or my instructor would like.

When using it he works really nice and low (which I like to do to warm him up) and is very consistent in trot and hardly tilts his head at all in canter. I also find I can ride him with a nicer and more even contact without having to fidget all the time and also can get him working better from behind without having to fiddle with the front end aswell.

Also when I take it off he seems to still work nicely.

I plan to use this a few times a week for the time being to encourage him lower and rounder while im working on engageing his back end even more. I use it quite loosly and he can stretch his neck out fullly if he wants so it is not pulling his head in, just encourageing it. He doesnt fidget like he does if I use draw reins (which my instructor told me to use).

So can I have views please? Has anyone else had good results with one?

I've got a harbridge and quite like it as it doesn't force anything (providing you don't have it too tight!). I don't use it on my WB but I lunge my TB in it occasionally (on very loose) as it helps to get her working over her back. Million times better than draw reins imo....

I have been using one on my daughter`s pony, so she can get the feel of what it is like to ride in an outline, without me having to wory about her using inappropriate aids, while she learns this new skill!
I think it is brilliant.

I've got one and IMO its the best training aid. It really encoyrages a horse to come into a natural outline, and as long as you haven't got it ridiculousy tight it doesn't interfere with the horse at all if its working correctly.

Of course like all training aids it should only be used correctly and not be a novice. Its also fantastic at teaching a horse to jump correctly!

bit of a side track but ive got a shires harbridge in full size and its too tight for my horse. does anyone know where I can get a bigger one? or one that is bigger than the shires f/s?
