Views on my pony's weight

What BCS is she. You need to understand how to measure the fat on her skeleton which you can't do from a pic. Get a qualified nutritionist to show you how to BCS. It's essential knowledge for any horse owner.

Not sure, she looks fine in some, porky in others. Worth learning to condition score and seeing how she comes out.

I am new to photo bucket so have probably posted the pics in an awkward way. Thanks for feedback. I think you are right re: knowing conditioning scale. The ones of me in pink vest top are taken yesterday...I fear they are the porky pics! Thanks for advice guys

She looks a bit porky to me. Not massively but somewhat. Though the angled shot really really doesn't help and she might look fine from a side on shot. Do you think you might be able to get a side on straight shot done, that would be much easier to judge.

I will do. I have had her for just over a month and she hadn't been worked for 4 months. Totally agree that she needs to be leaner/fitter. I wanted her to put weight on as she was a bit poor but I certainly don't want to combat a spring grass tummy whilst trying to get her fit too. Thanks again :-)

Definitely looking a little too well covered in the more recent photos. Looks great in the ones from the winter. You can get a fair idea from the photos, bony landmarks not visible, obvious crest and fat on neck and shoulders and going over back. Sorry :( I have to battle weight issues with my girlie all the time, tend to let her get rather lean during winter to allow her to put on her weight when she sniffs the summer grass!!
Good luck with the weight loss programme.
