Has anyone been on the receiving end of the high winds & had damage to their stables etc?

We're at a lovely yard & unfortunately we've lost half to roof of the hay barn in the high winds. It's about 200 years old & the passing of time & the recent weather has severely battered it, laths have splintered & tiles have flown off or slid down the roof. It will be repaired asap but we'll need to wait for a lull in the winds as it's too dangerous to get up there & fix it in the current gales. :(

Sorry to hear about upur damage, our roof on
our shelter was lifting up last friday whilst clipping our pony for the first time - it wasn't too bad when l first started but it soon picked up. Thankfully she was brill & the shelter withstood it. We did have some old trees blow down but like most people its the wet weather that it causing the most misery - the farmer cut the hedging in November & the land we rent was already soft & they left it in a mess & part of it will need reseeding in the spring. Thankfully their in a field that we use to rest ours but thats slowly getting chewed up!!! All the joys of horse ownership hey?
