My show horse has had diarhea and not cow pat faces , today his legs are swollen and got a temp of 36.7 I am thinking virul ??? Vet called already x just wanted to see if any ideas ?

Mines just over this. I would still have the vet as mine has lost tons of weight. Thankfully hers came back clear but and I stress BUT she did not have a temperature. It could well be salmonella or c diff so vet, bloods and cultures is what I would suggest.

Yes, 3 horses on our yard have got it!
Went to a centre doing dressage and low and behold came back with this, now 3 horses have got it. Vets doing all sorts of tests

36.7 is normal temp. About 39 is when need to worry about temp. I would prob call vet tho to be safe as swollen legs are a bit odd. Mine gets very runny cow pats when get lots of wet weather so that alone wouldn't worry me but you know your horse.
