Yesterday I went to Visit my lad in his Companion home. I had been told that I was welcome to visit anytime and that I dont have to let anyone know I am coming just turn up. So what do I discover when I pop in for a surprise visit?

All was quiet at the farm (about 11.30). I went onto the yard just to check he hadnt been brought in for any reason as its quite a trek to the field. There in the corner was 'his stable' with an absolutley immaculate straw bed made up but empty.

I trudged across several fields shutting and relooping gates as I went through and got to the last but one field. I chatted to two ponies who followed me to the gate and in the distanceI spotted the Black and White Bum of the lovely Henry. He and my boy Gulliver were sleeping near the gate.

Hearing my voice Gully got up and whickered to me there he was fine and fit with a beautifully trimmed set of feet. Love his new Farrier never met him but nice job.
I had my camera and managed to take some photos but nearly dislocated my neck for laughing as I climbed the gate (couldnt see any reason to undo it) with my camera.

Obviously Gully and Henry had heard about suspicious people taking photos of horses so they had both donned equine disguises in the hope they would not be recognised. His new Aunty bought him his disguise because the flies were bothering him.
