hi,
i went to a newcomers day this saturday and really loved it and so want to go hunting again throughtout the season.
But have asked about visitors caps and they said £70 is that about average for a visitors cap?

is there any other options?

thanks, x

Is about the norm. Depends on the individual hunt though, some will be much more & other's less.

If you are thinking of having a few days, most hunts do a 7 day membership, which would be cheaper than visiing cap. Ask the secertary if they do one, or even just ask if they can do you a deal. Most would be happy to try & see what they can do for you for the extra pennies in the pot!

The cap for the local hunt is £20 per adult and £10 under 16s. Used to be £10 and £5 so incredibly cheap.

Mind you living on an island does limit where you can hunt but even so it seems something is actually cheaper here (which is rare, captive market etc)
