hi have 15.3hh idxtb. good do-er lives out clipped, rugged 24/7 with shelter, in work everyday, due to navicular cant really hack much so all work done in school, does an hr schooling a day.(or lunging sometimes -20min)
she on currently hay in shelter. she has 2 feeds a day comprising small scoop kwikbeet, handful chaff, half scoop competition mix for oomph over winter. - come the spring i will take her off the mix she will stay on the beet as has powder in feed for joints and only way will eat it! - so would like to give her either a balancer or vit/min supplement. She doesnt need extra calories or anyhting high in oil like topshine etc..

what do you recommend for maintaining vits/mins without adding weight.- also prices if you know them too cheers

she has garlic and pernamax in feed already.

many thanks

Why not try pink powder (by naff) It has all the vits and mins but pre-biotics also (to aid digestion) This obviously carries zero calories unlike a balancer which does. (pe. I think it's about £14.99 roughly or cheaper)

I use baileys lo-cal, George is a seriously good doer and even at 16.3 his feed is just 3/4 scoop of hi-fi lite plus a mug of lo-cal. Made a real difference to his coat and feet as well.

Top spec lite is good too but £25 ish a bag.

Personally, if your horse will eat powders I'd just get a naf general purpose supplement or feedmarks benevit as this'll work out cheaper- well it did for my boy!
