As title really! Can quiet, demure whippets who like short bursts of speed and plenty of snoozing really live compatibly with big, bouncy, robust vizslas who go everywhere and do everything with essence of Whinnie The Pooh's 'Tigger' ??

I love the idea of getting a whippet to be my car buddy and patient companion whilst out travelling in my new job but I'm not sure they would cope with the bouncy vizzys at home?

Anyone with any experience would be great, thanks x x

**thinks of a whippet she knows who bouces around the birdtable on his hindlegs and runs away from rabbits**

Seconded

More seriously ali_m, yes they are relatively quiet - in my experience they are (or can be) nuts when they are awake, but like greyhounds they do sleep a lot

They tend to go and sleep under things (usually your duvet if you are not careful) so I think they would tend to take evasive action rather than be bullied.

We got a very bouncy Tigger-like lurcher puppy when my whippets were quite elderly (huge mistake, but that is another story!) - one whippet was quite frail so she just took herself out of the way, and the other one beat up the puppy remorselessly until he behaved himself when he was near her
