Vocab question!

Well i have composed a little test for a few of the younger members of my pony club... i showed our instructor and she said it was great apart from one question:

Q:What is the name of the leg marking that consists of spots of black on white around the coronet?

A: Ermine

My instructor said that this didnt exist....... but im sure it does..... or am i just going mad?

Ermine marks definitly exist, my mare has them!!

I vaguely remember them from my BHS stage one, all those years ago.

yes, i've heard of it. very difficult though!
slightly easier but still a bit tricky might be "where on the horse is the brisket?"

Ermine marks do exist...but now they encourage you to use anatomical descriptors so 'white to mid cannon' etc.
I've always liked salanders and malanders, myself...sound like an amphibian...

If it didn't exist before, it does now. It's a gorgeous description of that marking.
