Fly is a very vocal horse. We get the usual 'hello' but his reportoire extends to squeals, snorts and groans! He is a "squealer" when excited or before he bucks (not long enough before to get ready though! lol) Do you have a "squealer"?

My old boy used to 'squeal' when he went into canter, in his excitment, but we do not do much canter now, if at all ..... however when he gallops out of his little paddock when he is 'allowed' the grass he still squeal then, and it is an absolute delight to hear

My TB has been known to squeal, when he plays in the school free, too

Mine nickers anc whinnies to say hello. He groans and grunts when rolling or getting up / laying down. He groans also if i get after him with my leg and he's tired. He squeals when hes turned loose and he neighs randomly during the day... if someone walks past, if a horse walks past.. if he hears something... whatever. He's also a snorter. He snorts at anything. He can have seen something everyday for a month but he'll still have to snort at it

Another one with a very vocal horse

My filly is far more vocal than either of my geldings. She calls when she sees me, when she hears me, when she wants to come in or out - she is quite demanding

My gelding only squeals infrequently and then its kind of under his breath - but when he does Im usually in big trouble ..

My mare chatters away all the time, she is always nickering and whinnying to anyone who looks her way!

My old SJ used to squeal everytime you went into canter. My old TB used to scream it was horrible and deafening. It was just the way he neighed, but often got wierd looks from people! My old mare blew raspberries to get attention. Very odd, she screwed up her mouth and made farting noises. I have to say it worked and there was often a crowd outside her stable fussing over her.

Mine snorts when she gets over excited, it was a scary sound at first as I thought she was going to explode but now it's just funny

Apart from that she rarely neighs but she nickers when she comes over in the field and when you are mixing up her dinner.

One of mine whickers alot especially if she is in her stable and I am around. She also neighs non stop if she travels alone in the trailer - very embarrassing! She sometimes stops and neighs if she is hacking on her own as well but that is highly strung TB's for you!

Flint always says hello.Gypsy is sooooo vocal. She wickers when she sees you,When she is in her stable and i'm in the feed room oppersite she will wicker EVERY time i come out of the door.Or every time i'm out of view she will wicker.

Mine is a squealer too! If she is excited she will squeal as we approach the bottom of the canter track and I know I'm in for trouble!
