Just reading through the posts re Little Downham balloting the whole of the BE 90 class - which they are entitled to do under BE rules - and I noticed that several of the lower end competitors had also volunteered to help at the event so they could get a run, or even out of the goodness of their hearts! Just musing quietly to myself as to how many of the higher end riders, who now get the run at the expense of the grassroots riders, have offered to send someone to help out at the event?

Hi.
I am running 2 horses in the CIC** at Little Downham, (I am by no means a big name/pro) and I good quite easily have had 90/100 runners and I am going back on the Sunday to fence judge for the day, as I try to do every time Little Downham runs.
Also I do know of pros, 4* riders with large yards who do do their bit to give back but due to logisitcs they tend to have to wait until the end of the season to do this.
