Also in NL but figured some people might come in here more.

Anybody going on April 6th? How much is it to go? I got asked by someone on the yard to go with her. She says it's a great day out.
Funnily enough, I'm booked in for a tattoo on 12th April and was going to get the Uffington white horse done on my shoulder - just have to get around to having it drawn up!

Oh well, that makes me feel a bit better (in a cruel sort of way! :p). I couldn't have gone anyway because I was in hospital a few weeks ago with a ruptured ovarian cyst (ouch ) and am not to do any jumping until I have my scan to see if it's healed properly. I was so mad I was going to miss it! Does anybody know if it went ahead?

Thanks, it wasn't at all pleasant but I once it had calmed down I was so annoyed about missing hunter trials, a show and the VWH ride, lol. Well, if it was cancelled it might go ahead on a different date and I might get to go after all! :D

No problem.
All i (will) have are the pictures from the website but sadly as the photo fences were near the beginning and i'd only just started sharing the pony i took i wasn't quite used to him and we jumped horribly. We did progress to jump quite nicely over some of the bigger stuff, i did the walls with him i was so pleased! Other than that i only have pictures of us at the end when he was being all fidgety and trying to nap back to the trailer.
It was a great day though, i hope you get to go next year!

Minimal snow? What time of day did you get there? At 8am we had TONS of snow here and I am not very far away! One of my yard mates went, but didn't go until 2pm - she called at 10am and they would only just confirm they were going ahead. No one at my yard got on a horse before 10am as it was everywhere, but we do seem to live in our own climate!!! Glad you had fun Murphy :D

We got there at 11:30. There honestly wasn't much snow when we got there and we didn't see much on our way up either. There was no trace of snow at my yard, which is why we didn't think to call to check if it was going ahead. Glad it was, it's too long a drive to have it cancelled!
I'm glad i had fun too, i was worried sick about taking Murphs when i hadn't done X-country on him for years.
