Wadswick Saddlerly Nicky Coombes

I was wondering if anyone has had Nicky Coombes from Wadswick saddlery out to fit a saddle ?

Opinions please, as I have a voucher for the saddlery, and thought it would fit in nicely if I can use it on getting my saddle reflocked - needs abit of adjusting .

we use nicky when ever we need them fitted...i think she is better than chris who is there master saddler...nicky just seems to be better for use although chris would be the one who does any work on the saddles...they also let you try the saddles for a few days as well...even the second hand ones

I tried to get Nicky out to fit a saddle I already had and she wouldn't come out as she only goes out to fit the new and s/hand saddles she sells?! She may have changed her policy now but this waqs only 2yrs ago. Had Chris out but he never saw me sat on the saddle or the saddle on the horse post flocking adjustment... Needless to say the saddle never fitted when someone was sat in it! :/ His work was good however.

I have now changed to C J Puddy who has a good range of stock at more competitive prices (especially new - I saved £200 with my m2m Ideal saddle on the Wadswick price!) he fits, checks with you on the saddle in all paces, gives an honest opinion and does the work himself (sometimes flocking adjustments there and then) and re-checks post adjustments.

Saddles and saddle fitting is such a minefield! :/
