Ponio is now officially for sale

. We've been thinking for months that maybe eldest was growing a bit too fast and we needed something bigger, but had hoped to put it off until next year. OH's hours have changed and I physically cannot turnout at lunchtime (we have to walk up the road) with a toddler in tow. I'm also working myself PT and it would just be impossible atm. Things WILL get easier but not fair on ponio to be standing in for 16 hours a day whilst we get our lives sorted.

He owes us nothing, he has done such a fab job for us and I only wish we could keep him. So if anyone's looking for a first LR / FR ponio, let me know

I would LOVE a forum member to buy him. Especially someone who is used to shetlands, I would HATE for him to end up as some kind of overgrown dog

he gets a little excited in gardens... he ate OH's rose plant then galloped round the garden squealing when we first got him lol. Must add he's alot better behaved now

By next summer he will be too small for my eldest, who wants to concentrate on jumping (which the shettie really cannot be bothered with.. he's more of a plod lol), so it makes better sense to sell him now and let him teach another child to ride, and enable us to save some money towards something bigger.

something about 12.2hh, lr/ fr and capable of popping a jump. still very much a first pony, but bigger.

Well he's been a great little guy to get your children started on - I'm sure he will be wonderful for someone else's children to enjoy now.

I think you are doing the right thing by looking for something a little taller as the last photo I saw of your son on little-one, he looks like he has grown a lot since you bought the pony.
