Wahl avalon

Does anyone have these clippers???

I am thinking of investing in these but wondered what peoples experiences were of them. I will be using them for full clip on a miniature horse and using them about twice a month during the summer.

Any bad or good experiences please?

ruddy terrible - did about 3 strokes on my cobs neck and the blades gave up

I have pair.I love them, daughter doesn't she likes the traditional ones.
We recently gave daughters 16.1 and 14.1 a full clip out of same charge. The 14.1 is usually a nightmare with usual clippers but great with these.

lilym, could be the blades.I bought new blades last year that did exactly the same.Took them to local shop(not the place bought them) who gave me the smaller blade saying that wahl rep had given them these and said if someone says blades aren't cutting to give them this.
Changed smaller blade and hey it worked! On checking it looked like smaller blade on the new blades was thinner and a brighter metal than old blades and the replacement bit.

tried 3 sets of blades - same problem i'm afraid - i sent them back and whal's customer service was disgraceful, i had to get trading standards involved to get my money back - i will never buy whal again.....have liveryman now and am very pleased with them!

Ive got them and love em. Turned my clipper phobic horse into a horse that can be clipped no problems. Love the ceramic blades, once you master putting the blades on properly, they are great. Got rid of my heiniger handy clippers for these and dont regret it.

Love mine, fine to use on my IDxTB and the blades are fine, have also clipped a hairy New Forest X with them and though it took longer, they still did the job - I think they are definately worth their money.

Sorry to highjack your thread but I have a pair of these clippers and I still can't get the blades to work despite a call to the people I bought them from and help from this forum. Could any describe how they attach their blade? My blades only work if your press them against your hand and then they jam anyway. The blades don't look far enough 'in' but I can't work out what else I need to do. Feeling really stupid......
