Just seen the Artiko clippers for £95 in my local tack shop sale... damn I wish I would have bought them, but I have one question... can you put the "normal" (ie not ceramic) blades on the clippers that come with a ceramic blade??

save your money and put it towards a better set of clippers!! i have some of these and they are rubbish, just about clip my dogs!! the blades run blunt in minutes, a waste of money IMHO.

I have these and they managed 8 clips b4 going blunt - including a hairy cob including legs twice!

And you can put trimmer blades on them to do the fiddly bits!

Lilym - check the tensioner has not slipped or fallen out on your blades as this will make them not clip properly. My friend borrowed mine and took them apart to clean half way through (why I don't know!) and didn't put the little tensioner back in properly and they wouldn't clip properly.

The tensioner is a small strip of metal about an inch and a half long which fits between the 2 blades.

These are nice little clippers - I used to have a set but I hated the ceramic blades - you can definitely use normal steel blades on them very successfully.
