Wahl trimmers

Has anyone had any bad experiences with the Wahl pocket pro trimmers? I have had two now and both are rubbish!! As soon as they touch the horse they stop working. My friend has a pair that are really good but ive tried two now. What are your experiences if you have them?

They work on fine coated animals, but aren't any good for anything with coarse hair. Used mine to clip a heart into a TBs coat, but couldn't do the same on my cob as they stopped.

They're ok if you just want to trim whiskers but for anything else there isn't enough power. There's only tiny battery in them so they don't run long either.

Fine for whiskers and stray hairs but not much use for anything else!

I don't rate them. Mine came free with my Wahl PRO SERIES trimmers - which are brilliant !!

Thanks everyone. Inky is now clipped so was just using them to touch up and his hair was thin. I have taken them back to the shop and the lady laughed when i tried to explain the problem. She said they get loads back and they are c**p and she doesnt know why the shop sells them!!!

Now I love mine! I do use them mainly on the dogs though.

I use mine for clipping a bridle track and they work fine for that!
