Wait List Query (BE)

I'm having a bit of a dilema at the mo and am not sure whether I want to still be on the Ascott under Wychwood wait list (haven't been XC for so long and unlikely to do so before the event). If I e-mail entries secretary to ask to come off it will I still get a full refund or lose money for withdrawing? It says on the web site that all withdrawals need to be in by 10th July. Never been on a wait list before so not sure how it works if I change my mind!! Thanks!

dont think you get your money back if you withdraw. personally i would stay on the waitlist you are more likely to get your money back - esp with the amount of rain everywhere is having

IF you withdraw you wont get your money back, but if you stay on the list you will get your money back if you dont get run, so I would stay on the list because it would be better to either get the run you are paying for or get a full refund, rather than withdraw and get nothing.

I'd check with organiser because I withdrew off the waitlist there because I needed to re-route to Upton House for PNRF and she said she'd just destroy my cheque? Worth asking her - send her an e-mail?

Thanks for that info re MK! I may take a drive over and have a look at the ground. Seems bizarre that they've got it open when its still so wet, you'd think they'd be preserving it a bit esp after the hammering it got at the 3DE!!!

I've just spoken to the secretary and will now answer my own query just in case anyone else wants to know? As I'm on the wait list, if I withdraw I get a full refund....hooray!!
