Walkies time??

What time does your dog have their last toilet walk or garden visit??
Im paranoid that puppy is going to need a 'number 2' that I let her out quite late at night, and shes been digging up the garden and causing havoc! So im going to start taking her round the block instead of letting her in the garden once its dark.
What time do your dogs have their last walk/toilet time of the day??

MIne doesn't get a late walk, but goes in the garden before I go to bed.................midnight ish.

Walk, around 8pm but let out to the toilet before I go to bed so around 10.30/11pm during the week then about midnight at the weekend.

Only thing is I dont like walking her in the dark on my own..so I suppose Il just go out with her in the garden to make sure she doesnt get completely covered in mud!She only digs when its dark and I cant see what shes doing

Have you got somewhere in the garden you can put up one of those lights that comes on when you walk past? You'll be able to see then. Or get a minors lamp lol.

Ours got out in lots or they bark at eachother (stupid animals!) first lot go out at 9pm, 2nd out at 9:30pm and the last lot out at 10pm.

They only get a walk first thing in the morning, good hours belt round. Or the terriers come to the stables, sometimes out riding

Yeah we used to have one of those lights in the garden that comes on, but I dont think it works anymore.....I will investigate though. Or just conquer my fear of the dark and take her out instead

Mine did the same, dug all my plants up

. Hes 5 mths now and seems to have stopped digging in the garden, just digs in the school at the stables now instead

We walk him about 8 ish but make him go out just before we go to bed, about 11.30 ish just to make sure.

My dogs go out for the last time just before I go to bed, so usually about 11ish. However I can't let my shepherd out in the back garden late at night as she always rushes out barking her head off, so instead i put her on her extendable lead and let her go to the loo in the front garden instead where she stays nice and quiet! Don't think its a good idea for you to be wandering around alone at night with your doggy, so why not try using an extendable lead on your dog whilst in the garden, at least you'll be able to 'reel' him in if you feel him digging on the end of the lead!

Yes I tried that the other night, I put her lead on and just stood in the garden with her..she pottered about..didnt even go to the toilet! But didnt dig either...phew!

If you keep up with the lead on in the garden last thing at night I'm sure she'll get the hang of what she's sposed to be out there for. I specifically use an extendable lead cos if I was literally following mine around on a short lead they'd definately wonder what on earth I was doing!!
My dogs know that when the extendable lead comes out at night, that its simply for a toilet break but if you show them their leads at any other time of day they go bananas!!!!

I walk my lot 3 or 4 times every day.
Walkies at 6am, 12noon, 4pm and then last walk at around 9pm. As the mornings and nights get darker i put on their reflective / safely light up collars on when out walking.
