walking exercises

walking and working at the same time? any ideas?

i long reined up the road today, had a fight at the end of the lane coz old bloke was raking stones and got a bit tied up as he spun round and reared GGGGRRRR

anything i could do around the yard to keep his mind active? i put him on the walked 1-2 times a week, but talking about brain numbing!

Teaching them to do exercises like rein-back and leg yielding in hand can be rewarding and fun, and is good for those that get bored easily.

How about some natural horsemanship work - the parelli seven games stuff for example.....

leg yielding good idea- but how without confusing him? we have recently started doing little bits in our lessons.

iv done some horse whipering with other horses, never parelli will have to do some reading up on that, thanks really good ideas!
