As it says in the title really. Just coming back into horses after living away and having a break. Would like to find someone to buddy up with around wortley to hack out with. Sorry admin if this is the wrong area.
 
I am in loxley area, a little bit south of you I think. Currently in the process of panicking over whether I really want to sell and get a new one or not (answer is yes), once I have I'd be up for seeing if we could work something out.
 
The two best ways of meeting horse orriented peope are getting involved with a local Riding Club and offering to help at a local Riding for the Disabled group. If you are going to be riding a youngster after a break from riding, it may be worth finding a good local riding school, have a few lessons and make some contacts :)
 
Maybe get in touch with Penistone & District RC, Leg-Up Equestrian, and Rockwood Harriers. They're all active at your yard. I think there's a bridleways group local too, but not sure what they're called.

PDRC also arrange training at Bromley so might be worth joining them for when you get your youngster home?
 
Ik going upto the yard tommorow morning to secure our stable. I carnt wait for him to be there, i use to do rda when i was younger bit hard to voulenter now as i work and have children to work around with school etc so time is limited and when Joe comes home i will be wanting to spend time with him. I will find out about the clubs etc going up there. So excited just trying to get organised with everything now :)

Are you at Pennine Equine or Mallard House? At either yard you will find a fair few people to buddy up with. You could also join the Ecclesfield and District Equestrian Club facebook page where you will find a lot of local people to join up with.

there are 8 yards close to Wortley .One with 40+ one with 30+ one with 20+ one 15+ you will soon make lots of friends ,ecclesfield d,e.c meet about 4 miles away , Penistone d,r,c meet about 6 miles away and a nice big forest less than a mile away -ENJOY !
