Done a few PN's this season, would like to aim to end on a novice, hence thinking of doing PNP now to ready to end on a Novice. As fear/hate SJ phase, where do you go for the not so up to height courses? Was toying with PNP at Purston but usually SJ up to height so not so keen, Can't remember what Somerford Park is like. So looking for suggestions on either PNP or first time Novice courses within reach of the central area.

Was going to go to Somerford PNP as apparently is a lovely course and SJing isnt too scary. However, we're holding off as our SJing is nowhere near upto scratch yet

What about the special PNP class at Monmouth? It's got good prize money, rug, sash etc

They are putting a lot of effort in as its the 21st running.

SHUSH! I am deliberately not mentioning that class on here in the hope no-one spots it and I have a small hope of actually winning some bloody cash and a rosette! Of course realistically a)my dressage is too crap and b) it's no longer the same w/e as Gatcombe (which it normally is) so all the pros will be there in force I reckon, but still, you are NOT helping!

How is B feeling? Hope he's on the up...

I think my biggest issue will be getting the timing right XC as it is a long time since I did PN on him - last time was RC where the time is tighter anyway.

He is feeling much better thankyou - had his back done yesterday which was most enlightening and explained exactly what seems to be going on bit and jumping-wise. 10 quiet days then hopefully back to business as usual. I just thought he could do with a nice fun run before going back up to Novice as things have to be pretty sore for him to stop, so he probably doesn't have the best memory of Barbury. I love Monmouth as an event anyway, although it does seem to be my 'getting back into it after a major incident' event!

Sounds great! I will come and find you on the day. Leaving it to the last minute to enter so I can be 100% sure he's fit.
