hiring horses for hunting

read this!

and have a look at www.hunting-directory.co.uk too...

the vast majority of folk who hunt are really friendly, and welcome your interest, so don't worry about not knowing anyone. any who aren't friendly are prob just wary incase you're an 'anti'.

usually there is a safe way round a jump, ask the secretary if there's a day with less jumps they'd recommend, or if there is a group of folk who don't jump and can take you round with them.
on the day ask to be introduced to these folk.

the main thing is finding hirelings, but the hunt secretary should be able to point you in the right direction there. hirelings are good at the job, safe and sensible - expect to pay £50 up over for the privilege tho.

if you are particularly small/tall/heavy/light tell the person running hirelings so they don't turn out a 18hh clydesdale x when you're 5'1" and weigh 4st! chances are they wouldn't but its worth pointing out.
